Backgrounds
Backgrounds are a great way to add a distinctive theme to your web site. Most browsers will default to a medium solid grey color unless you, the web author, provide a different set of instructions.
Most of these backgrounds consist of a 100 x 100 pixel gif. Background gifs are automatically tiled, or repeated, infinitely to the right and down, starting in the upper left corner of the web page. Thus, only one HTML tag is required to define a background, and it is included in the BODY tag as follows:
<BODY BACKGROUND="directorypath/filename">
- Blues
- Grays
- Greens
- Left Borders
- Multicolored
- Pinks and Purples
- Reds and Burgandys
- Yellows and Oranges
